Research
The laboratory focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer therapeutic resistance and the role of the tumor microenvironment in disease progression.
The research combines molecular and cellular approaches to investigate mechanisms of treatment resistance and identify potential strategies for improving therapeutic response.

Genetic and Epigenetic Landscape of Acquired Chemoresistance
Investigation of the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms associated with acquired chemoresistance and identification of novel therapeutic strategies.
Estrogen Regulation of Tumor Cell-Derived ECM Remodeling Genes
Study of the regulation of tumor cell-derived extracellular matrix remodeling genes by estrogen and the role of key transcription factors.
This project was carried out in collaboration with IIT-G and has been completed.
The Non-Canonical Estrogen Receptor Repertoire in Breast Cancer
Investigation of the non-canonical estrogen receptor repertoire in breast cancer towards refined disease classification and therapeutic decision-making.
This was a multi-centric project involving IIT-Guwahati and B. Barooah Cancer Centre and has been completed.

Molecular profiling of cancer-associated fibroblasts to identify novel strategies for combating therapeutic resistance in cancer.
This research is being carried out in collaboration with the Institute of Nephro-Urology, Bengaluru.
